Contact the union for steward assistance using the applicable form. DO NOT email union representatives, stewards, or union officials regarding the situation. Stewards will review the matters and escalate them to union leadership as needed.
What should I do if I make a request to my supervisor but it is denied?
DO NOT argue with your supervisor. DO NOT copy any union members, union representatives, or Department of Education leaders on your email(s). Contact the union for steward assistance using the applicable form.
What should I do if I have a major disagreement with my boss?
Contact the union for steward assistance to discuss the matter further using the applicable form. You DO NOT want to create or worsen the situation with your supervisor.
Should I tell my boss and/or management that I would like to work for someone else?
NO! You do not want to be labeled as an employee who cannot work with various people, so DO NOT do this. If you are unhappy, you should try to come to terms with how you work with your current supervisor, apply for another job or duty within the Department of Education, or apply for another job with another agency or the private sector.
